Subclass 482 Temporary Skill Shortage Visa Sponsorship

We are excited to offer employment sponsorship to join the Australian construction workforce. If you have received the official letter of sponsorship offer from our HR team or just started your application, please read through the following and proceed.

The Australian construction workforce is known globally as one of the most generous employment providers. With high salary payments and stable job conditions, you can expect a prosperous future for yourself in Australia. Most importantly, your safety and wellbeing together is the number one priority for your employer all over Australia.

The Institute of Construction Materials offers sponsorship to international construction workers as part of their visa application process with the Department of Home Affairs. We are offering sponsorship for temporary workers based on the conditions outlined by the Australian Department of Home Affairs for Temporary Skill Shortage visa (subclass 482). The current construction jobs may vary depending on the project. However, most of the projects require skilled concreters, bricklayers, painters, excavators, steel workers, scaffolders, cabinet makers, and so on. You must have received a sponsorship offer from our human resources team before being considered eligible for the current employment opportunities.

Step-by-step sponsorship process:

  1. Apply for the Construction Worker job position;
  2. Receive the official letter of sponsorship offer from our human resources team. This is a unique document in a PDF format sent to your email address;
  3. Pay the sponsorship fee using one of the pathways provided below. Once your payment is received we will start preparing your employment contract. You can expect to receive your employment contract within the specified period in your sponsorship pathway.
    • Please note: This a fee our registered immigration lawyers ask to proceed with your visa nomination.
  4. Receive your visa nomination letter from us. The Department of Home Affairs may require proof of health insurance cover at this stage. If you want us to purchase your health insurance cover on your behalf, please visit Overseas Workers Health Cover page.
  5. Apply for Temporary Skill Shortage visa (subclass 482)
  6. Once your visa is granted, you may refer to accommodation for overseas workers to sort out your rental property in Sydney. There are plenty of rental properties available in Sydney. You may be required to pay additional fees if you want the Institute to rent a property on your behalf.
  7. Arrive in Australia and start your job.
