Frequently asked questions

Can I book an in-person appointment in your office? Where’s your office? Where are you located?

You can either book in an online consultation (recommended) or in-person consultation at our co-working office space at Level 1/244 Macquarie St, Liverpool NSW 2170.

Please visit the following to choose from the available options: https://iconsmat.com.au/sponsorship-consultation/

How long does it take to actually get my visa?

It really depends on your personal and individual circumstances. We have applicants who are still in the process of supplying the required documents since 2 years ago, and also have applicants who have managed to complete and obtain their visa in a short period as only 6month. In average, it takes something between 10-18 months to obtain your visa.

Can I work when I arrive in Australia? Do you employ me directly?

If you applied for subclass 482, you are entitled to an employment contract. This means that as soon as you arrive in Australia you can start your job and get paid. We will be your sponsor and working for one our partnering companies.

If you applied for subclass 407, you are NOT entitled to employment contract upon your arrival however you have the right to work independently subject to prior notice to the Institute as your training supervisor.

Can I receive my sponsorship and pay the fees after my arrival while I’m working?

It’s just a wrong mentality. Even small intercity trips to the neighbouring suburb incur costs such as transportation, fuel, food, etc. It is more realistic to accept and understand that there are costs associated with moving to a different country.

What occupations can I choose for my visa subclass 482 application?

You can choose your occupation from the following list upon submitting your application:
Bricklayer (ANZSCO 331111),
Civil engineer (ANZSCO 233211),
Electrician (ANZSCO 341111),
Plumber (ANZSCO 334111),
Metal fabricator (ANZSCO 322311),
