Polyurethane Elastomer

The Polyurethane Elastomer course is a 4–5 hour online program designed to give learners a strong understanding of polyurethane’s chemistry, properties, and practical applications in modern industries. It focuses on how polyurethane elastomers combine flexibility, strength, and abrasion resistance to outperform conventional materials in both construction and material handling systems. Participants will explore the fundamental structure of polyurethane, its production and processing methods, and how formulation choices influence performance. In the construction field, the course covers its use in floor coatings, sealants, insulation, and structural elements, valued for durability, chemical resistance, and environmental stability. In material handling applications, such as conveyor belts, rollers, and liners, polyurethane’s exceptional wear resistance and impact absorption help extend equipment life and reduce downtime. Learners will also examine sustainability topics, including the development of recyclable and bio-based polyurethane systems that support greener industrial practices. Through technical insights, case studies, and practical examples, this course equips engineers, maintenance professionals, and technicians with the knowledge to select and apply polyurethane materials effectively. By the end, participants will understand how to leverage polyurethane elastomers for improved performance, efficiency, and reliability across diverse industrial and construction environments.
